Easy makeup: same results

Some days brows and mascara are enough, other days I have the energy to do a little more. Applying makeup should never be complicated or painful. Beauty is NOT pain! As a hairdresser I was guilty of using that phrase “beauty is pain”. Now I cringe at the thought of those words coming out of my mouth. Makeup is ment to help us feel better not worse.

It’s actually all about strategy. Finding the tools and products that work for you.

  • Less gripping, twisting, and pressure

  • Fewer steps

  • Comfortable hand positions

  • Products that blend easily (no effort fighting the formula)

    ‍ ‍Function over hype

• Easy-Grip Brushes

  • Thicker handles = less hand tension

(I personally do not like makeup sponges, I find them hard to hold)

• Pump Packaging

  • Avoids twisting/opening jars

  • No more squeezing tubes

• Stick Products

  • Swipe and blend

Game changer because stick products tend to be thicker making the easier to hold and you can blend with your fingers no tools needed.

• Magnifying Mirrors (Optional)

  • Reduces strain from leaning in

  • Reduces eyes strain (especially with dry eyes)

Product Types That Are Easier to Use

• Cream Products (Blush, Bronzer, Highlight)

  • Blend quickly with fingers

• Lightweight Foundations / Skin Tints

  • Forgiving, no heavy blending

• Multi-Use Products

  • One product for cheeks, lips, eyes

Techniques That Save Energy

• Apply in Sections, Not All at Once

  • Prevents fatigue buildup

• Use Hands When It’s Easier

  • Fingers can be more intuitive than tools

• Rest Your Elbows While Applying

  • Reduces arm strain

• Sit Down for Your Routine

  • Stability + less fatigue

• “Good Enough” Blending

  • Let go of perfection
