5 minute Beauty Routine

There are days when even getting out of bed feels like enough. On those days, a full beauty routine isn’t realistic and honestly, it’s not necessary.

This is the routine I come back to when my energy is low but I still want to feel a little more like myself. It takes about five minutes and you can be done sitting down.

Step 1: Skin First (1 minute)
Instead of a full routine, I keep this as simple as possible.

  • Gentle cleanse or just rinse

  • One hydrating product (moisturizer or tinted moisturizer)

On harder days, I skip anything that requires multiple steps.

Step 2: Even Things Out (1–2 minutes)
I don’t aim for perfect.

  • Tinted moisturizer, BB cream, or concealer where needed

  • Blend with fingers (no tools to clean or hold)

This gives just enough coverage to feel put together without the effort of full makeup.

Step 3: One Feature Focus (1 minute)
Instead of doing everything, I pick one:

  • Brows (quick fill or gel)

  • Mascara

  • Cream blush (doubles as lip color)

Step 4: Easy Hair Reset (1 minute)
This is where I keep it realistic.

  • Low bun, loose braid, or clipped back

  • Dry shampoo if needed

  • Letting natural texture do its thing

Not every day needs styled hair!

Step 5: A Small Finishing Touch (30 seconds)
This is optional

  • Lip balm or gloss

This routine isn’t about looking perfect. Some days this might still feel like too much and that’s okay too.
