My Low-Energy Hair Routine
When I’m feeling low energy or a flare up, I go to bed with two braids (imagine Wednesday Addams).
In the morning I release the braids, which leaves my hair wavy. Then I either leave it as is, or clip my hair half up.
I tend to skip all hot tools on low energy days, it just feels like too much work. If I have flyaways I’ll add a bit of gel or pomade to smooth out instead of flat ironing.
Letting Go of High-Maintenance Expectations
Not every day needs styled hair, as a hairdresser this one was tough for me.
“Put together” looks different with chronic illness and that’s okay
Choosing ease doesn’t mean you’ve given up on beauty
Conclusion
With time you’ll find your version of easy but styled looks that work with your energy levels, which might look different everyday and that’s okay. As long as you feel good about yourself.
