After retiring from hairdressing, I missed being creative. Lucky for me stumbled upon surface pattern design right around the same time. I was hooked!

I wanted to create patterns and put them on everything, with so many print on demand sites it’s totally possible.

I ordered a few of my designs on different products and was so disappointed with the quality of the products.

That’s when I started Son by Sonia , now I had quality control.

Son by Sonia is my creative outlet, that brings me so much joy. I design bandanas and special edition silk scraves, which are sold on Etsy and wholesale on Faire.

I highly recommend finding a creative outlet that fills your heart with joy.

I’ve always loved wearing bandanas and scarves. So designing bandana patterns is kind of wild, high school Sonia would think, we grew up to be pretty cool (lol)
